The high season is officially kicking off in Key West, and the snowbirds are starting to migrate south. This November is jam-packed with fun events of music, culture, food and boats. We’d hate for you to miss out on anything, so we collected a list of the best parties in town.

3. Watch The High Speed Boat Races

The Super Boat International Races are the most notable November event, and you can watch them compete for free! Fort Zach state park is a popular place, with tons of room for everyone to have a front row seat. If you want to be right in the middle of things, head down to Lagerheads at Simonton Beach at get VIP access to the race with tables on the beach. Here’s a list of the scheduled races.

4. Try The Best Fish Tacos In Town

We’ve partnered up with Garbo’s Grill & Bad Boy Burrito here at Key West Food Tours to serve you the best fish tacos on the island. Even Guy Fieri from Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives approves. The best part? They serve seafood from local sustainable fish markets in town making daily deliveries to the restaurants.

5. See A Movie At The Film Festival

The Annual film festival returns to Key West with around 30 movie screenings that showcase films which exhibit excellence in storytelling. The 4 day event will feature special events hosted at landmark venues throughout Key West, including the San Carlos Institute, Studios of Key West and Key West Theater.  Audience will be encouraged to discuss with filmmakers and talent as well as live music and social gatherings.

6. Support Locals At The Artisan Market

The artisan market is back for the season and better than ever. This months theme is preserve island life, and the Preserve Island Life initiative will be on hand to help educate the community to be more sustainable. On In November the local artisans will include culinary, textile, jewelry, wood, artists & crafters. Live music, craft beer, wine and art, as well as food concessions and a produce market will all be on hand.

7. Waste Away in Margaritaville

Jordan Thomas Burnett and Jillian Todd will headline Jimmy Buffett’s Escape to Margaritaville opening October 20. A madcap love story, erupting volcano, tap dancing zombies and Buffett classics like Cheeseburger in Paradise, Margaritaville, It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere and Son of Sailor will fill the air on Mallory Square through November 12.
