The Hemingway Experience, the company’s exclusive private tour gone public by demand, celebrates Key West’s most infamous author, Ernest “Papa” Hemingway, on a historical journey retracing his steps around Old Town. Our 4-hour guided experience stops at (6) locations, all aiding in telling Hemingway’s story in Key West & Cuba.
Each ticket includes guided entrance into his famed Key West home where you can pet the property’s six-toed cats and see where he wrote many of his most iconic works. Then eat, drink, and explore the island through “Papa’s eyes”, feasting on the Cuban cuisine (and boozy beverages) that he fell in love with while your knowledgeable local guide impresses with interesting stories and amazing fun facts.
The adventure takes you behind the scenes of a 3rd generation family run cigar rolling factory, and into the newly remodeled Social Club at Hemingway Rum Co. for his favorite drink made with his family company’s premium rum. Then finish with a slice of our famous key lime pie!

What to Bring
Cool, Comfortable Clothing and Shoes
Our groups walk about 1.5 miles during the tour. While the walk is on level sidewalks and streets, we cannot control the weather. Dressing for the heat and humidity can play a large part in your overall comfort during your visit.

Tour guide gratuity is not included in your ticket. If you had a great time, please tip your guide! It is standard in the service industry to tip 10-20 percent the ticket price. Venmo available.
